Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial arts artist who is a part of her country in UFC within the Flyweight Division. She is currently fighting. She's older than her fellow UFC Fighter and previous UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her journey as a Muay Thai boxer. She made her debut in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of this tournament, beating Suzane Mill in the finals via a majority decision. Antonina continued to win and received a silver award in 2007, a bronze in 2008, a gold medal in 2011, and was the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia began her professional life in 2003. She was the winner of her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and then the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by unanimity. Antonina shevchenko fought her first professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan. She won the second-round TKO fight. She also won the following two bouts at the WXF: X-Impact World Championships which resulted in her having a record of 3-0. Shevchenko was forced to take a break from MMA in order to focus on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by unanimous decision, after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left in 2018 the league and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's superior strike skills enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. Following this victory, Antonina received an UFC contract. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight, after winning her first bout by unanimous decision. Antonina has recovered from her loss after defeating Lucie Pudilova during UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko went 1-2 in her next 3-fights, winning against Ariane Lipski while losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was lastly defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
