Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, born on March 26, 1991 and professionally referred to as Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and was the first female signing to J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. Her debut EP Pho, released which was released on 21 October 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in notoriety. Shea Butter Baby released her first album of studio work on 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox released her songs online in 2012 after she released her the Five Finger Discount mixtape and Ariography EP in 2013. In 2014, Ari Lennox dropped her single Bound along with the mixtape she self-released, Five Finger Discount. On 21st of July the 21st of July in 2015 Omen featured her on Elephant Eyes song Sweat It Out. J. Cole had her send her songs for the Dreamville Team in the following year, as he wanted Rihanna to work alongside her on some of the songs. The 8th of December was the day she announced that she was contracted to Dreamville Records. She made an appearance on the joint album Revenge of the Dreamers II featuring the track Backseat Cozz. In October of 2016, she released her first EP Pho. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening performer for J. Cole on his single Change in 2017, and appeared on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. in 2018, the singer-songwriter guested on two tracks by EarthGang On Nothing but the Best, as well as Bas on Icarus. The debut album of Ari Lennox Shea Butter Baby was released on 16 July 2018. The album's first single, Whipped Cream, from the album came out September 5, 2018 with a music video. On the 9th of November she dropped two more singles: forty Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. In November 2013, she dropped No One as well as Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released as her first single on February 26, 2019 for her album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby appeared alongside Cole as part of her Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. A music video debuted on 20 February 2019 to go along with the track. Within one period of a week, the video had more than 3,000,000 views. The singer was a part of the 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour back in December of the year 2018.
